What is a Swedish Massage?
Swedish massage is what comes to mind when we think about a massage.
As the most popular type of bodywork performed today, one of its primary goals is to relax the entire body.
This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles using long gliding strokes towards the direction of blood returning to the heart.

It is exceptionally beneficial for increasing oxygen levels in the blood, it decreases toxins present in the muscles, it improves circulation and flexibility while easing tension.
Additional Swedish massage techniques include circular pressure applied by the hands and palms, firm kneading, percussion-like tapping, bending and stretching.

You will be shown in your room by your therapist where you will be given time to prepare for your treatment in privacy.
You will not be completely exposed at any point of your treatment as your therapist will uncover one little bit of you at a time depending on the area they're working on.
That is done in order to keep your muscles and soft tissue nice and warm.
If you're worried about anything or feel uncomfortable at any point, please don't hesitate to say so.
The selected oils are then used to slowly massage with a series of strokes and techniques specific to the part of your body and based on what you want to achieve.
For example, long gliding strokes across your back will help you relax whereas kneading and rubbing will unwind any knots.
This type of treatment takes into account the delicate or tender areas of your body, so it will be comfortable and soothing.
